Uncharted: The Lost Legacy file size confirmed, and it’s huge
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will weigh in at a whopping 44.7GB on PlayStation 4, according to early reports.
For reference, the game’s predecessor, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, clocked in at 48GB at launch, so this should give you some idea as to just how much content is being stuffed into Chloe and Nadine’s upcoming action-adventure romp.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is scheduled for release exclusively on PS4 on August 22, 2017. The standalone expansion takes place roughly six months after Nathan Drake’s swansong adventure, and sees Chloe and Nadine teaming up to track down a mythical artifact known as the Tusk of Ganesh.
Developer Naughty Dog has said that The Lost Legacy is likely to be its final entry in the long-running franchise, although recently said it hasn’t completely ruled out a new Uncharted game down the line. If it does happen, however, we’re not likely to see Nate make a comeback.
Interestingly, The Lost Legacy wasn’t always going to feature Chloe and Nadine. Naughty Dog admitted that it toyed with numerous scenarios, among which included Drake’s mentor Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan and Chloe’s partner-in-crime, Charlie Cutter.
Elsewhere, the planned Uncharted movie seems to be gathering steam, with Spider-Man actor Tom Holland attached to play the part of a young Nathan Drake. While nothing has been confirmed in terms of plot or cast, Holland has a few ideas on who he’d like to play Sully in the adventure flick.
