[UPDATE] DRIVECLUB free PS Plus edition launches, and then gets pulled

UPDATE – DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition will launch tomorrow, June 25.

The DRIVECLUB free PS Plus edition launched today before it was pulled from the PlayStation Store.

In the continuing farce over the delay of Evolution Studio’s free-to-play section of its PS4 racing game (which was originally due to launch with the full game in September), Evolution says that it has removed the game from the Store because the “servers aren’t ready yet.” It begs the question: why launch it then?

When it’s actually coming back to the Store is unknown. Evolution tweeted a little later…

When the DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition does finally launch players will be able to enjoy all the main features from the game, including game modes, customisation and 15 cars.
