UPDATE: After multiple attempts, I was able to reconnect to PSN, and NeoGAF users are reporting that things have returned to normal. For now, this evening’s troubles seem like a temporary hiccup. We’ll continue to update if the situation changes.

Original: Just a few minutes ago, I was disconnected from PSN while hunting elite marks in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
After being forcibly brought to a tranquil blue screen with no obvious way to exit, I restarted my PlayStation 4 via the physical power button. A restart and attempt to sign in produced the same blue screen, immediately following error code NW-31201-7.
Sony has not yet officially commented on what may be a widespread issue, but PSU has reached out to SCEA and will keep eyes peeled for a response. Twitter is starting to echo my troubles, and NeoGAF is taking notice.
