UPDATE: Naughty Dog has updated the Uncharted 4 story trailer featuring the artwork in question replaced with different art and issued an apology:
In our eagerness to get the story trailer out we made a regrettable mistake and didn’t thoroughly vet the art work used for an in game painting. We’ve already updated the trailer. We hold all artistry in high regard and take full responsibility for having allowed this to happen.
We want to sincerely apologize to everyone at Ubisoft, the Assassin’s Creed team, the original artist, and our fans.

ORIGINAL STORY: Assassin’s Creed Head of Content, Aymar Azaizia, has called Naughty Dog out on a piece of artwork that has appeared in the latest Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End trailer.

The latest story trailer for Uncharted 4 was released today, and Ubisoft was quick to flag up a glaring similarity between the artwork shown on a picture on the wall with concept art from the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag artbook.

It’s hard not to agree that the picture in Uncharted 4 looks remarkably like Ubisoft’s creation, albeit without the pirate. Whether Ubisoft plans to take the matter further is unknown. Oops!
The scene in question appears based on a real-life location known as Lover’s Rock in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
