Vampire Survivors developer Poncle revealed at the Liverpool-based Game Republic’s Pitching to Investors and Publishers event this week that it is opening its own publishing arm.
According to GI.biz, the developer’s goal with its publishing business is to allow developers to make the games they want to make, and wouldn’t operate as a “traditional” publishing within the independent games space. Poncle will offer funding support to projects, and is seeking games that are developed with “sincerity, passion and depth.”

Poncle also revealed a number of pitches that fall into the “insta-no” category, including “Survivor-like” games that are deemed similar to Vampire Survivors, and has distanced itself from anything related to AI or Web3, as well as free-to-play mobile titles.
Vampire Survivors is now available for PS5 and was originally released in 2022 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch version following last year. You can read our full review of the game here.
