Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 isn’t doing itself any favours in the run up to launch this October, as it’s been revealed the game using day-one DLC to lock out two of its six playable clans.
The clans in question are the Toreador and the Lasombra, which requires you to fork out for the Premium Edition at $89.99/£74.99, or alternatively, add the Shadows and Silk DLC to your base game or Deluxe Edition, which will set you back $21.99/£18.69. Yes, sadly even the Deluxe Edition of the game doesn’t feature these two clans, and that costsk $69.99 alone.

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 takes place in Seattle during the 21st century, where players take on the role of an elder vampire, whose abilities you can determine by having them join one of a number of selectable clans. Your character must feed off humans to maintain their abilities while hiding their vampiric nature, as the undead must keep up the masquerade of hiding their identity from mortals.
Paradox Interactive will publish Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on October 21, 2025.
