Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines Remaster

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines Is Reportedly Getting Remastered

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines is set to receive a remaster for modern platforms, according to the latest murmurs that have been gathering pace online this week.

Firstly, on Reddit, the rock band Genitorturers (who are featured on the soundtrack for Bloodlines) mentioned a “remake” of the classic vampire title during a recent gig, at least according to a fan on Reddit. One day later, leaker Daimler_KKnD claimed that the game is getting a modern overhaul, but made it clear this will be a remaster, not a remake.

That’s about all we know so far about the remaster, and there’s been no announcement from any official channels at this point. It’s interesting timing, as tomorrow marks a full year since the release of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, which didn’t exactly set the world on fire. Still, we didn’t think it was too bad all things considered.

Developed by Troika Games and published by Activision, Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines is based on White Wolf’s tabletop RPG Vampire: The Masquerade, and takes place in Los Angeles during the early 21st century, following a fledgling vampire who attempts to uncover the truth behind a newly-discovered relic that heralds the end of all vampires.

The game combines first and third-person viewpoints, and allows players to assign their character to one of various vampire clans to give them unique powers and abilities. In addition to the main story, Bloodlines also features numerous side quests to hoover up across its hubs, which include Santa Monica, Hollywood, and downtown LA.
