Videogame tie-in planned for new James Bond movie

Empire magazine is claiming that 2012 spy flick James Bond: Skyfall will receive a videogame tie-in at some point.

Rumblings of a new videogame outing featuring the British secret agent popped up last year, though nothing has ever been confirmed.

It’s worth pointing out that the Bond films, based on the works of Ian Fleming, are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. The first movie, Dr. No, released back in 1962 with Sean Connery slipping into Bond’s shiny tuxedo.

Publishing giant Activision is currently in possession of the rights to the Bond games, and has released three titles to date: Quantum of Solace, GoldenEye 007 and Blood Stone.

Skyfall will hit cinemas later this year, and will star Daniel Craig in his third outing as James Bond.
