Actress Eliza Dushku has stated her belief that videogames are starting to become more “acceptable” for adult use in the sense that grown ups can now actually admit to playing them.
The feisty actress, who voices sultry heroine Rubi Malone in Bethesda’s upcoming game WET, told the BBC: "Videogames have almost become acceptable and cool for grown ups – not for people who are just in their teens.”
"I know so many people – friends, actors, directors – who are older and used to maybe play in private, but who can now say it loud and proud."
Dushku, 28, has voiced a number of videogame characters in recent years, including Yakuza’s Yumi Sawamura and Saint Row 2’s Shaundi. She is currently appearing in the sci-fi TV series Dollhouse.
WET is due for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September.
