Virgin Gaming is apparently entering the online tournament business, as revealed by Canadian copies of ModNation Racers. Gamers were directed to this site for a ModNation Racers “Online Tournament,” only available to Canadian gamers,
MaxConsole has discovered that VirginGaming.com domain is administered by Entertainment Tech – the competitive gaming company that runs WorldGaming.com. The site allows members to compete in PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 games for hard cash.
More on Virgin’s gaming plans will be revealed at E3, but we at least know it will have something to do with competitions, and PS3 owners seem to get a first crack with ModNation Racers.
