SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage will receive a Cross-Play Closed Beta Test from September 10 – 25, 2025 across PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
You can register for the Closed Beta on the official website now, and those who take part in the taster will be treated to a special in-game title that can be used in the full version of the fighter.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is the latest incarnation of the fifth mainline entry in the venerable fighting franchise, with the original version of Virtua Fighter 5 arriving in 2006 in arcades. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions launched the following year, and was re-released in 2008 under the moniker Virtu Fighter 5 R and followed by Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown in 2012 on consoles. SEGA wasn’t done yet however: it launch the game again in 2021 for PS4 in the form of a remaster of Final Showdown.
This latest version of Virtua Fighter 5 incorporates Cross-Play and rollback net code supported for all available formats, and will launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 30, 2025.
