Gaijin Entertainment has today release details of the War Thunder 1.65 ‘Way of the Samurai’ update, which signals the end of the open beta phase of its massively multiplayer online combat game and marks its full release.
As it stands right now, all nations in the game have their own tank and aircraft trees. Players can also command ships, and Gaijin plans to introduce research trees for ships, which is currently in pre-beta testing, soon.
“After reaching this important development milestone, which marks the end of Open Beta, the goals set out for War Thunder in 2012 are now complete. We will focus on adding new features and improvements, to let virtual pilots, tankers and navy captains enjoy one of the most realistic, extensive and accessible war simulations of all time”, says Kirill Yudintsev, Creative Director of Gaijin Entertainment.
War Thunder update 1.65 features numerous additions, including:
- Completion of the Armor of the Imperial Japanese Army (30 ground force vehicles, , self-propelled guns, and anti-aircraft vehicles).
- Integration of cockpit interiors for all aircraft with working gauges and indicators.
- Two new maps entitled ‘Abandoned Factory’ and “38th Parallel”.
- Gaijin plans to continue to launch updates with the addition of two new game modes, called World War mode and War Thunder Naval Forces.
