War Thunder v1.43 update allows users to sell user-generated content for revenue share

War Thunder developer Gaijin has confirmed that a new feature allowing players to sell their custom-made content to other users for a slice of the profits will be introduced in update v1.43.

The new feature will be applied to the in-game shop where users can browse for user-generated content that has been chosen by Gaijin. Creators will receive 25 percent of the gross revenue from the sale of their items, which can include skins, planes, tanks and missions.

“Empowering our players with the ability to create, share and earn through War Thunder Live exemplifies the dedication and passion of War Thunder‘s fantastic player base, encouraging our community and fans to contribute to the game via this initiative can only make the game a richer and more rewarding experience for players everywhere,” said Creative Director Kirill Yudintsev.

A release date for the update has not been announced and we presume that it will land on PC first before making its way to PS4.

War Thunder is a free-to-play WWII-based MMO on PC and PS4. In addition to the unprecedented amount of content already available, the latest expansion introduced 350 different planes, new tanks, 150 multiplayer-based missions and squadron battles. Furthermore, PS4 gamers are now able to cross-play with owners of the PC version.
