PlayStation Game Size on X has revealed the Warhammer 40,000 Darktide PS5 download size ahead of the game’s highly anticipated release on December 3, 2024.
Warhammer 40,000 Darktide weighs in at 57.474GB on the PS5 and the standard edition of the game is available to preload from December 1. However, if you preorder the Imperial Edition, preloading began yesterday and you’ll gain early access from tomorrow, although this version of the game will cost $59.99.

As previously reported, Warhammer 40,000 Darktide comes with full PS5 Pro support with 4K resolution at 60 FPS, while the standard console offers Performance Mode (1440p/60 FPS) and Quality Mode (4K/30 FPS).
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide builds on the foundation of the melee combat seen in Warhammer 40,000: Vermintide II, and injects the action with intense gunplay allowing for a mix of both ranged and proximity battles. Players can create their own character and customise their appearance, voice, and origin while determine their unique skill sets by assigning them a specific class. Stepping into the unforgiving Tertium Hive, you’ll navigate boiling hot industrial factories and a decaying water maintenance zone plagued by constant acid rainfall as you and your allies attempt to free the city from a mysterious and sinister new fore.
Warhammer 40,000 Darktide is due out on general release from December on PS5. The game was originally released for PC in November 2022 and arrived on Xbox Series X/S the following October.
