THQ has revealed some fresh info that details first DLC pack to arrive for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.
The recently revealed four-player Exterminatus Mode pits an elite squad of four Space Marines against hordes of alien enemies in a score based fight to the death. The Exterminatus Mode will allow players to choose from three different types of marine to play as – Tactical, Devastator or Assault Marine, each with their own unique perks and weapons.
There are two different scenarios in the upcoming DLC – ‘Assault on Hab Center Andreas’ and ‘Escape from Kalkys Facility’, each consisting of multiple arenas and global leaderboards, allowing you to compare your progress against other players from around the world.
Survival isn’t enough to get you through each round however, as the scenarios also offer dynamic in-game challenges that will randomly pop-up during gameplay, such as killing so many Orks within a certain amount of time.
Fans of the online multiplayer experience of Space Marine will also be happy to know that experience points earned in Exterminatus Mode will count towards multiplayer ranks, allowing you to level up in both co-operative and competitive multiplayer modes.
The Exterminatus Mode DLC pack will be available as a free download in October, however THQ has not yet revealed a release date for the pack.
Stay tuned.
