Warner confirms 3D support for Batman: Arkham City

Superhero sequel Batman: Arkham City will support both stereoscopic and anaglyphic 3D, Warner Bros. Entertainment Interactive has confirmed.

According to the press blurb, the Caped Crusader’s hotly-anticipated adventure will allow gamers to “delve deep into Arkham City’s breathtaking environments and immersive gameplay in stereoscopic 3D when playing on any 3D HDTV and wearing active shutter glasses that are compatible with the television.”

"Fans with HDTVs can enjoy Batman: Arkham City in anaglyphic 3D with technology compatible with all high definition TV sets and visible to players wearing 3D glasses available for the video game," it adds.

Due out in October this year, Arkham City boasts a game world five times the size of 2009’s critically-acclaimed Arkham Asylum, and features some of the Dark Knight’s most iconic villains to date, including Mr. Freeze, the Joker, The Riddler, The Penguin and many more.
