Warren Spector has revealed the that he’s not working on Epic Mickey 3 despite news of the original game receiving a full-blown remake for modern platforms.
Writing in a post on LinkedIn, Spector said that he would ‘love’ to work on a third Epic Mickey but that his current job makes it ‘impossible’ to do so.
I’d love to do Epic Mickey 3 but i have a day job that would make that impossible. I actually have a high level idea for what I’d do in a tri-quel,” he continued, though did not provide any further details.

Spector co-founder OtherSide Entertainment in 2023 and serves as chief creative officer at the company, although despite previously wanting to complete a trilogy of Epic Mickey games, the franchise ended with Epic Mickey: The Power of Two.
Epic Mickey Rebrushed was announced last week and is a remake of the original game released for Wii in 2010. The game is coming to PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in 2024.
