Ubisoft has revealed that Watch_Dogs remains the fastest-selling new IP for Europe, despite claims from Activision that Destiny has taken the crown.
The publisher told MCV, “Congratulations to Activision and Bungie for taking the title in North America and the UK, but Watch Dogs is still going strong and we’re proud of everything that the Watch Dogs team has accomplished so far.”
Bungie’s shared-world shooter was released on September 9, and shot straight to the top of the U.K. All Format Charts upon release.
Activision confirmed that it had sold in more than $500 million of the alien blaster to retailers and first-parties worldwide in just 24 hours.
