In a bid to ramp up anticipation to its maximum, Capcom has unleashed the opening cinematic to its newest episodic horror adventure, Resident Evil: Revelations 2.
The four-minute video, seen below, echoes back to classic 1990s Resident Evil with some seriously questionable direction and some distinctly funny voice acting – what makes it even better is that it’s seemingly a serious effort by Capcom. Either way, we want the game even more now – probably not for the same reasons, mind.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is set to feature Claire Redfield in her first main appearance since Code Veronica X. Joined by Moira Burton, daughter of series favorite Barry, both girls are situated on an off-shore prison and are tasked with breaking out and getting to the bottom of things.
The game’s to be released in four parts throughout February and beyond, with a full version containing all episodes to crop up soon after. Oh, and it’s got a playable Barry Burton. Finally.
