The U.K. branch of retail giant GameStop has posted a pre-order listing for Ubisoft’s Watch_Dogs 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
There’s no release date mentioned on the product page, although presumably it’ll be updated in time with a 2017 window. After all, Ubisoft announced earlier this year that a sequel to its open-world adventure title would be hitting consoles at some point next year.
Watch_Dogs 2 has been rumored since the first game hacked its way into retail stores nearly two years ago. While it took Ubisoft a while to officially announce the game, it was previously reported that the sequel will be set in San Francisco, and that it will show its face at E3 in June.
Prior to revealing the game in its last financial briefing, the French publishing giant said that any sequel to Watch_Dogs would take more risks and would not take as long to develop as the original game.
The original Watch Dogs was released in May 2014 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. By early June, the title had reached over four million copies sold worldwide. Read our review of the game here.
