Web Version Of PlayStation Store Allows You To Write Review For Your Game Purchases

The web version of the PlayStation Store now allows users who have purchased games to write reviews for titles.

As spotted by Reddit user nolifebr, this feature appears to only be available for the web version of the PlayStation Store, and works for every digital game you have in your library, including PS Plus titles. Interestingly, you can still write reviews even if you haven’t actually played the game (a very poor implementation; the last thing we need is fake reviews), and reviews that have been penned can be filtered by various editions (such as standard, deluxe etc) a rating from one — five stars, and most recent and most helpful.

Meanwhile, the page mentions “every review comes from a verified owner of this game or item and is evaluated by a team of moderators,” and there is a limited of 4,000 characters per review.

Having the ability to review games on the PS Store is a handy feature, although hopefully there won’t be an influx of fake reviews given you don’t need to have actually played the game to write one. Review bombing has been an issue on other sites such as Metacritic, and is the last thing Sony needs on its own store.
