France-based indie studio Wild Sheep showcased its first title at Gamescom this week, an exploration-based, open-world game called WiLD.
WiLD has been created exclusively for PS4 and the developer plans to use all of its power to create a title that is the size of Europe in terms of gameworld, has dynamic weather conditions and “interactive opportunities that feel endless.”
WiLD focuses on discovery and exploration with players able to jump into the role of a human or any of the creatures that roam the land. “How you approach the game is up to you, what you do and even what you are – it’s all up to you,” explains Wild Sheep founder, Michel Ancel.
How this translates to actual gameplay is unknown, but the trailer suggests that hunting and avoiding being hunted core elements of WiLD.
There’s no firm details on release date just yet.
