Team NINJA‘s Masakazu Hirayama has revealed that there are currently no plans for a Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty sequel, although stopped short of completely ruling it out.
Speaking with TouchArcade, Hiryama-san revealed that the studio has been focussed on DLC and updates for Wo Long. However, he did offer insight into what may come next if a new game were to enter development.
We have no plans for a sequel at this stage, as our focus in fiscal 2023 was on the DLCs and updates. On top of that, I feel that the historic period after the one set in Wo Long has its own unique attraction as the era of strategists, and we have a desire to depict it with action and in a story, so we’d like to take on this challenge if the opportunity arises.
