Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier has claimed that ‘literally nothing’ of Star Wars Eclipse and Wonder Woman existed at the time of their announcements a few years ago, which is why we haven’t seen anything on them since.
Star Wars Eclipse and Wonder Woman were both revealed during The Game Awards 2021 with cinematic trailers, but we’ve heard barely anything on either title since then. And, speaking with the Kinda Funny Games show, Schreier says this is because there was literally nothing to show at the time.
If you look back, one of the big announcements a few years ago was Star Wars: Eclipse and Wonder Woman. When that was announced it was, like, literally nothing. It was like paper. There have been so many times where it’s been this hyped big teaser trailer announcement and then you’re not going to see that thing for a very long time.

To be fair, it wasn’t uncommon for video game developers to do this sort of thing all the time, and I’m not just talking about the late 90s or early 2000s. For example, Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced at E3 2015 and didn’t see the light of day until nearly five years later. If you want to go back a bit further, the original Resident Evil 4 was unveiled in November 2002 and went through multiple revisions until it launched in early 2005.
Regarding Star Wars Eclipse, the last update we got on the title was back in September last year, and that was only developer Quantic Dream stating that “it’s simmering.” As for Wonder Woman, KindaFunnyGames’ Greg Miller claimed back in June this year that the project’s development was ‘troubled.‘ Could we possibly see an update on one of them at The Game Awards later today? It’s possible, but probably best not to get your hopes up just in case!
