This summer all soccer fans will be focused on South Africa for the 2010 World Cup. But, before the tournament begins, gamers can get their paws on EA’s FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa and play as any of the 199 qualified teams at all 10 official World Cup stadiums.
Gamers can play as their favorite team, run through the tournament, and play in the World Cup Finals to feel the excitement of winning the sport’s biggest tournament. EA says that everything we love about the World Cup will be reproduced in the game, including the addition of confetti, streamers, and fireworks. What better way to celebrate a World Cup win than with some streamers.
You can also play online and take your favorite team through the tournament. If your favorite team didn’t qualify in real life, this is your chance to take your home team through the tournament and into the finals.
The game is slated for release on April 27 in North America and April 30 in Asia and Europe on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PSP.
