World of Tanks is officially coming to PlayStation 4, developer Wargaming has announced.
The PS4 version of the game, which was originally released on the PC and enjoys a massive fan following, will include full DualShock 4 support, as well as compatibility with Share Play and Remote Play.
As with the PC edition, the PS4 release is free-to-play, and as such won’t require a subscription to Sony’s PlayStation Plus service. A beta is scheduled to roll out before the end of the year.
World of Tanks was released on PC back in 2011, and by June 2013 the game had amassed 60 million registered users worldwide. The same year, Wargaming announced that microtransaction revenue from World of Tanks surpassed that of World of Warcraft.
