WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, you may recall, was first revealed all the way back in 2021. The action-RPG from Leenzee Games was, at the time, scheduled to arrive in 2024.
That’s no longer the case, as Lenzee and its publisher 505 Games confirmed earlier this year that it would be releasing sometime in 2025.
Now, thanks to yesterday’s Xbox Partner Showcase event, we don’t have a release date or release window any more specific than ‘next year,’ but we do have some new gameplay to check out in its latest trailer.
Showing off even more of the action players can expect, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers latest trailer also digs a little more into the game’s story, featuring narration from one of its unidentified characters that adds plenty of intrigue to what’s going on.
You can check out the new trailer for yourself, below.
So long as WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers releases sometime ahead of Black Myth: Wukong’s one-year anniversary next August, Fallen Feathers will be the second AAA-looking action-RPG from a Chinese-based developer in the span of a year.
A fact that could prove helpful for Fallen Feathers sales. Wukong may have had a swirl of controversy surrounding it, but its impact has also resulted in more eyes on Chinese studios and their potential for action and graphical showcases like Wukong and Fallen Feathers.
By the time Wukong fans have completed their journey to the west, they might be ready for a dip into Fallen Feathers Ming dynasty-based adventure.
At least that would presumably be the hope for Leenzee Games.
