WWE 2K24 is now the only game in the series that includes online support following today’s closure of the WWE 2K23 servers.
WWE 2K23 launched in March 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, and was followed by last year’s WWE 2K24. While it’s a shame that this means there’s only one game left with online support in the franchise, this sort of thing is common with annualised gaming series.
Here’s the official statement from 2K on the subject:
WWE 2K23 is getting its final takedown. As of January 6, 2025, the servers will be discontinued. This includes all online functions, such as online matches and Community Creations. You will no longer be able to access any online game mode after this point, however, if you already own the game you will be able to continue to play offline modes.
