Yakuza 4 storms Japanese software charts

SEGA’s PlayStation 3 brawler Yakuza 4 has battled its way to the top of the Japanese software charts, selling a mighty 384,000 copies during its first week on sale.

Known as Ryū ga Gotoku 4: Densetsu wo Tsugumono in the Land of the Rising Sun, the game also managed to beat week one sales of its predecessor, Yakuza 3, which sold 372,000 units upon its debut.

Interestingly, Yakuza 3 has only just made the transition to Western markets, and you can read our review of the game here to see whether or not it was worth the wait.
