Team 17 and Playtonic Games have lifted the lid on the multiplayer compontent of their upcoming platformer, Yooka-Laylee.
Starting off life as a Kickstarter campaign, the UK developer has now confirmed:
- 8 local multiplayer arcade games for up to 4 players
- Ability to play all arcade games solo
- High scorer leaderboards
The multiplayer mini-games can be found in Rextro’s arcade, and include the following:
- Glaciators brawler arena – collect the most quills
- Kartos Karting – race to the finish line
- Blag the Flag – compete to capture the flag
- Gun-let run- shoot-em-up thrills
- Jobstacle Course
- Hurdle Hijinx
Some of Yooka-Laylee’s multiplayer modes are showcased in this brand new trailer.
Preorders are now available from selected retailers, including GAME in the UK. US players can preorder from Amazon and unlock the Yooka-Laylee Toybox to create their own sandbox experience. The Yooka-Laylee release date has been pinned down for April 11, 2017 with a price tag of £34.99 ($39.99).
