You can now upgrade your SEN sub account to a master account

Sony has announced the addition of a long-requested feature in the form of the ability to now upgrade your sub PlayStation account to that of a master account.

For those unaware, a sub account was a way for parents of children under 18 to give them their own PlayStation accounts, albeit with some notable restrictions. As years passed and these children became of the age to become master account holders, many found that their sub accounts – which housed gaming purchases, PSN IDs and Trophies amongst other things – weren’t able to be upgraded to a full account.

Thankfully now Sony has lifted the lid and allowed such an upgrade to take place, much to the celebration of the PlayStation gaming community.

Luckily PlayStation Europe has also provided a handy Q&A section for those hoping to upgrade their accounts.
