The long-rumoured Persona 4 remake appears to have been confirmed by actor Yuri Lowenthal, who revealed in a post on BlueSky that he isn’t being hired for the project.
Lowenthal, who is probably best known for his work as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Insomniac Games’ critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, appeared in the original Persona 4 Yosuke Hanamura. Sadly, it looks like he won’t be reprising his role in the as-yet unannounced remake.
And for those who keep asking, no, I will not be returning as Yosuke for the Persona 4 remake. I asked. Maybe I even begged, but they don’t want me to come back.

Persona 4 Remake has been rumoured for a while now, and back in March further evidence cropped up after the registration of the p4re.jp was spotted by an X user. While this doesn’t outright confirm anything, it’s worth remembering that p3re.jp was registered three months ahead of the Persona 3 Remake announcement.
Earlier in the year, singer Shihoko Hirata revealed that she was “recording for a new game,” which is widely believed to be the Person 4 Remake. For those unaware, Hirata-san had worked extensively on the original Persona 4.
Atlus hasn’t announced anything on a Persona 4 Remake yet, but with Summer Game Fest just around the corner, there’s a chance we may hear something then.
