Konami has unveiled an all-new downloadable horror outing for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live named Zombie Apocalypse. With society on the verge of collapse, players must take control of a group of gunslingers and eliminate as many of the rotting fiends as possible to ensure the safety of the human race.
With an arsenal of 11 lethal weapons including flamethrowers, assault rifles and an extremely deadly teddy bear filled with C4 explosives, four players can battle it out locally or via the Internet to hold back the Zombie plague. Players can also use the environment to their advantage allowing them to crush, burn, slice, or rescue civilian survivors to gain the highest score possible.
"Konami is committed to providing original, quality entertainment through our diverse offering of console, handheld and downloadable content," said Anthony Crouts, vice president of marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment. "As a downloadable title, Zombie Apocalypse delivers all the fun and action of a console game at a fraction of the cost."
With 55 days of battle across seven environments and with seven unlockable game modes, Zombie Apocalypse promises to be a title worth looking out for when it releases in Q2 2009.
