Activision has announced that its critically acclaimed shooter Call of Duty 4 has sold 10 million units globally since its launch in November 2007.
News comes following an interview with News.com, where Activision’s Vince Zampella also confirmed that the Variety Map Pack has sold over 1.5 million copies since its launch in April.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare marks the series first transition to a contemporary modern day setting, featuring a host of modernised weaponry, equipment and vehicles to utilize in combat.
The game has been highly praise for its incredibly realistic visual offering, bringing to life the grim, harsh realities of urban-based combat as you infiltrate a number of highly-detailed battle zones across the globe.

True, the main game was a a bit short, but that's its ONLY slight downside. When I first got COD4 I only briefly played the main game because its online play is where COD4 really excels and in my opinion there is NO better! If I could play COD4 24 / 7 I would, I'm that addicted to it :0)
number of battle zones over the globe? lol it was mostly the middle east with a bit of ruissa, but its a great game, i hve it for the pc, lvl 30 2nd luitanent^^
people say the single player isnt long enough the multiplayer would sell on its own and the online will last u ages without getting bored, lets see what gingo has to say lol

good game but got it at night and finished it by the morning it was good but to short but the online is one of the best even though i hadnt played in a while.
I loved the solo campagne, found the story very good and well scripted, but it's true that if you don't have the net you don't get to enjoy the online play, I always play in team death match (but it's been a while that I havn't played on the net)!
