Activision has announced that its critically acclaimed shooter Call of Duty 4 has sold 10 million units globally since its launch in November 2007.
News comes following an interview with News.com, where Activision’s Vince Zampella also confirmed that the Variety Map Pack has sold over 1.5 million copies since its launch in April.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare marks the series first transition to a contemporary modern day setting, featuring a host of modernised weaponry, equipment and vehicles to utilize in combat.
The game has been highly praise for its incredibly realistic visual offering, bringing to life the grim, harsh realities of urban-based combat as you infiltrate a number of highly-detailed battle zones across the globe.
