45-song track list announced for The Beatles: Rock Band

Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, along with Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison, took to the stage of Microsoft’s E3 keynote speech to reveal that The Beatles: Rock Band will be released worldwide on September 9, 2009. Fans of the Fab Four will be excited to hear that 45 songs from The Beatles catalogue will available to play from launch day, with further downloadable content becoming available in due course.

Included in the list of launch songs are:

I Saw Her Standing There
I Want To Hold Your Hand
I Feel Fine
Taxman
Day Tripper
Back In The USSR
I Am The Walrus
Octopus’s Garden
Here Comes The Sun
Get Back

Gamers will also be able to download further albums at a later date, including Abbey Road.

The Beatles: Rock Band will feature a story mode that will see us reliving some of the greatest moments in the history of the Liverpudlian group, including gigs at the infamous The Cavern Club, their appearance on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964, and their show-stopping concert at Budokan in Tokyo, Japan in 1966.

Additional songs will be revealed at a later date.
