Atari has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 version of Alone in the Dark will be released in Autumn 2008.
According to Eurogamer, the game will be specially adapted for Sony’s latest home console, and may feature some form of additional episodic content.
The upcoming Survival Horror title is currently pencilled in for a release this June on PlayStation 2, PC, Xbox 360 and Wii, with a PS3 version previously said to appear later in the year.
Developed by Eden Games, Alone in the Dark chronicles the investigation of protagonist Edward Carnby, as he unravels the supernatural goings-on in and around New York City’s Central Park area.

Thats just a lame excuse for its delay. Its to make PS3 gamers ´´feel`` better for having the later but better version! - sigh - Yeah right.
On a side note: Why does PSU website take so long to load? It happens in my PS3 and my PC too! Anyone notice it?
Good idea!
The game look's great. But I dont think many people with a Playstation 3 will play this during the month of June any way....."cough" MGS4 "cough"
Have to wait and see if the content is worth the delay.
well from what i seen it looks pretty cool but lets just hope its not a flop
Additional episodic content = Scheme to get more money for extended development time.

I'm all for waiting for a better game, but don't try and get more money out of me through the DLC. I'm not a big fan as it is and if I have to wait that much longer for a game, then the price should drop instead.
I guess it could also be said that anything in the first 4 versions will be fixed by the time the PS3 version comes out.
