Grand Theft Auto V could sell as many as 25 million copies worldwide, reckons Sterne Agee analyst, Arvind Bhatia.
The sales estimate puts the hotly-anticipated crime sequel on even grounds with Call of Duty: Black Ops, and three million higher than its critically lauded predecessor, 2008’s Grand Theft Auto IV.
Bhatia further added that a release date announcement in next week’s debut trailer would prove “positive for [Take Two] shares.”
Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter said earlier this year that he expects GTA V to shift 24 million copies globally.
Rockstar officially confirmed GTA V yesterday after months of rumors, with the first trailer dropping on November 2.
