The main character of the upcoming sequel to Assassin’s Creed has been unveiled a bit prematurely, but does not disappoint. According to ScrewAttack, the hooded figure’s name is Ezio Auditore de Firenze, a nobleman of Florence from 1476. Ezio happens to be yet another genetic predecessor of Desmond’s, the modern-day character from the first game. It’s also believed that players will be able to swim and utilize DaVinci’s flying machine, which should make the game a bit more interesting to say the least.
Furthermore, Ubisoft is incorporating more mission types into Assassin’s Creed 2, which should remove the repetitive nature of the first title. The upcoming issue of GameInformer has an exclusive cover story for Assassin’s Creed 2, but we’ll have to wait to find out the full set of details.
