The multiplayer component in historical stab-‘em-up Assassin’s Creed III will feature a heavily emphasis on microtransactions, it has been confirmed.
Info comes via the latest PlayStation Store and Xbox LIVE content updates, which reveals gamers will be able to spend cash “to acquire some game items, disregarding your current level.”
Connor Kenway’s American adventure allows players to accumulate “Erudito,” named after the mysterious group featured in the game’s story.
Details are sketchy at present, though it has been confirmed they’ll be available in five denominations, from as cheap as $0.99 for 20 to $19.99 for a pack of 925. Furthermore, the content won’t be available from the PlayStation Store, but only within Assassin’s Creed III itself.
Assassin’s Creed III is due out on October 30 in the U.S. and October 31 in Europe. Stay tuned to PSU.com for our review later this week.
