Backbreaker details revealed

Posted on October 30th, 2007 at 21:38 EDT

Natural Motion have revealed details about their forthcoming American Football game, Backbreaker.

With stiff competition in the shape of Madden and All Pro Football to contend with, the developers boast that the action is never the same and every hit looks and feels as realistic as it does on the field.

The game will use the same groundbreaking technology featured in Grand Theft Auto IV and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

In perhaps a slight dig at Tiburon's Madden series, Natural Motion also claim that the game will avoid canned animations and repetitious gameplay, and instead focus the game on the powerful mix of technology, biology and a tenacious attitude.

The technology used will use the power of the PS3 to simulate a players nervous system, muscles and biomechanics of the football players, making the game as physically realistic as possible.

Its key selling appoint appears to be that no animation will be repeated and the gameplay won't become stale - we'll just have to wait and see if that's true.
