Apple Corps, MTV Games and Harmonix have just announced that a brand new music game featuring The Beatles is in development, although it won't be an expansion pack or new addition to the Rock Band series.

According to reports, the game has the full backing of the surviving members of the legendary British group, though little else is currently known on the untitled project, including which platform(s) it’ll be available on.

Further updates on the title are expected in the coming months, though we reckon it’s a fair bet the game will end up on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii if past music simulation titles are anything to go by.

The game has been given a projected release date of Christmas 2009.

speak for yourself, and dont be an ignorant a** jocomatI care, because The Beatles are incredible and one of the best 5 bands ever, as I'm sure many people will agree. it just depends on how they execute this, as long as activision isn't doing it I'm happy.

If no one cares joko then wtf did you click on it for. You must be slow or something. Yes that explains it. I'm hoping for an export feature for Rock Band.
