Blizzard contemplates console market

Blizzard Entertainment has certainly got its hands full at present, with Diablo III, Starcraft II and a little game known as World of Warcraft all conspiring to deprive the company's teams (not to mention their fans) of sleep and love lives. Not one to spare his employees a challenge, Chief Operating Officer Paul Sams has revealed that Blizzard would certainly make a game for consoles - but only if it's the "right" game.
"Our attitude is, what game will we make?" Sams told GamesIndustry.biz in an interview, "This is the game we want to make, so what is the appropriate platform for that game? And if the answer is PC only, then we've proven that we're comfortable with that.
"In the event that we think it should be a different platform, we'll explore that, and if the right answer is to do that for the game that we're making, we will."
According to Sams, Blizzard is in "constant" communication with Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft. "We keep in constant contact with all the console manufacturers, we have a great relationship with them. When they do their roadshows and go talk to the publishers that they work with, they always come and see us - and when we're in their areas we always go see them."
"So we have the relationships," he went on. "And believe me, they want to see us on their platforms, but we haven't had the right game for it yet. But I don't think that at any level suggests that we won't be there if the right game comes along."

they are jumping on the bandwagon because of all the cash, and with the dross that sony are coming up with -lbp- and halo3 err sorry..... res2 my bad,and the big letdown motorstorm2, and the never to be released gt5, they are more than welcome. suck on that fanboys!!!!

sometimes i wonder why ppl create accounts on "foriegn" websites just to come bash on our fav console (like they have nothing else to do or play i might add)
on a much brighter note i'd love to see any game from blizzard -

they should revamp starcraft ghost and finish that with "next gen" actitude diablo 3 imo should stay at pc (this is coming from D, D2, SC, WC2, WC2 BNedition, Wc3 Player, and wow raider naxxramas) blizzard is the top pc gaming company in theyr related generes MMO and RTS

This article just said a whole lot of nothing so I wouldn't go getting my hopes up too high. I like Blizzard and would like to see their games on PS3, but unless they make an announcement to those ends be prepared to have to play their games on PC.

Diablo 3 looks awesome and deserves to be on the ps3, they could make a litmied edition with flames, would be awesome, WOW would be cool for online, i don't have a computer that could handle that game. WOW on the ps3 would probably give me something to do, they could probably max it out on blu ray and even do expansions, psn or on disc. BUT, I WANT DIABLO 3!!!!
