For those of you who were waiting for Criterion to finally release the Cagney update for their highly-successful Burnout Paradise title -- the wait is over. The update went up today and is roughly 400mb in size. This new update includes cars, 70 online freeburn challenges, custom soundtracks, and a whole lot more. The greatest thing about the update is the fact it's completely free.
Criterion continues to set examples for the industry by continually keeping gamers coming back to their title with free updates and improvements. The next update is expected to include not only trophy support and motorbikes, but some believe there will be planes as well.
Hopefully other developers start to take notice on how this has improved the quality of the title and they start following suit. We'll keep you updated when more information is released about the next update in the Burnout Paradise city.

Sweet, nice to see Criterion continuing to support this game.
i wish more companys woudl do this, making me pay for updates aint cool
i believe this was up like a couple of hours ago. i cant wait to get home to download this but i thought trophies were supposed to be in this one but i was wrong. still all the game dev's should take notice this is how to do it folks. i applaud you criterion
I just picked up this game on Tuesday, its awesome and I regret not buying it sooner.
how big is the download????
its 400mb's eh? Does it include a better minimap? >_>
this really is how DLC should be handled, im really glad i forked out for this game, i feel like i am getting far more than my monies worth with these updates. the only other thing id love to see them add is a 'restart challange' option. keep it up criterion
i'm going to have to buy this game now with these great features have been added
Does it have planes?
and i agree with Devil man, i'm checking it out on amazon.co.uk now!
Criterion ++ <3
Thank you Criterion for the update!! Appreciated
I never gave this game a ton of thought, but now it's looking interesting. Maybe I'll pick it up when the next update comes along
sweet ive not played mine for several months now, its time to reinstall it again. me thinks...
I might just pick this game up soon, I enjoyed the demo from a while back but I never got around to actually buying the game.
what the heck planes?! lmao
i can now listen to the fast and furious by ludacris while taking down chumps online, AWESOME !!!!!!!!!
i might get this if on the cheap as i need a good racer
Good update but its still lacking something very important and thats the abillity to RE START A BL00DY RACE, I have absolutely no inclination what so ever to even think about completeing this game untill we are given the option to RE START A RACE if you loose.
is this game any good as i can get a preowned for 25 and im thinking of trading in mgs4 as its was brilliant but cant get back into stroyline as i know whats going to happen and i dont think much of the online so is it worth trading is mgs4 and getting this.
Smokin'! There's a completely new opening screen and load screens. This isn't just an addition of "new stuff," it's a bit of a redesign, too. Now THAT's an update! See you in the city.
psn id: gingo... i'm really looking forward to speeding along listening to my own music rather than the questionable choice they give you in the game
A good excuse to play at paradise again and a better reason to play online!
