Well anothe wak port for ps3. I will not be getting this since they are going back to WWII I am tired of games that go back.

the pictures look quite good but they could of pushed the multiplayer abit more than just 16 players.

they think everyone will automatically buy this crap because people liked cod 4. i for one am not interested one bit. it sounds like a boring aweful port. hope they lose money.

I hope Treyarch will go out of business. After enough shoddy games you kinda like seeing them on the ground. Dead.

Depending on the time it comes, and specially with the "lead platform 360", i think r2 and kz2 will overrun it.

i like ww2 alot but i im sure if i can go back after cod4. plus with soom, killzone, and resitance all this fall/winter i am gona be set in the fps area.

i thought they were finished with WWII. all other companies like Tom Clancy are moving toward games set in the near future

while i understand why everyone hates this game already, i do have hopes for it

i think i will skip this game ... i am done with WWII games .... specially when Resistance 2 ,Killzone 2 and Bioshock (maybe Crysis) are on the way for the PS3

it will be a good game but they should have stuck with the "modern warfare" gameplan....

Well, it's not as cool as a "COD: Vietnam" would have been, but it is jungle warfare, which is always a plus in my book.  Yes, it's another W.W.II game, but it's not going to be European urban settings where we're fighting Nazis, which is what I think has made the W.W.II FPS so repetitiously boring.  Maybe one day the gaming community will get some testicular fortitude and take on the task of making a good Vietnam era FPS.   Until then we'll just have to deal with a million different games set during W.W.II and Modern eras, as if America never had a Communist enemy.  I guess they're afraid they're gonna offend all these young gamers wearing Che t-shirts, or something.  My only advice to these guys making this is they just better be sure to include enough black soldiers on the Iwo Jima part to avoid offending Spike Lee ;)

The real title should be called CoD 5, nade spamming in the pacific, just as CoD 4 should have been called CoD 4, Modern nade spamming.

Ok....even though I am not getting this, why would they not follow in the foot steps of IW and have no lead developing platform.....and to think they choose the 360 for the lead. Pfft......I feel sorry for the cats that want this game.

here we go again. I prefer getting Killzone 2 instead of another WW2 FPS. they really are doing this I don't care how great the game is they need a lot for me to go back to the past with this granpa game.  I won't be buying this don't care how great the game is. come with something extraordinary.

Hopefully, this will be good. It definitely won't be as bad as COD3, because it uses the COD4 engine.

They are leading with the the 3fixme....Hmmm that right there tells me the PS3 version is getting the shaft. Or maybe it will be the Wii version as well...Oh well, I really have no plans to go back to WWII. Thanks but no thanks Activision.

@Dave-The-Rave The problem with WWII is that it's been done so many times that most gamers are sick of it and want something new and fresh. I'm still waiting on someone do Vietnam justice and deliver us a good game for it. I think IW is the dev that could do it.  Also keep in mind that CoD was originaly supposed to be modern warfare. Activision is the one who made IW change it to WWII. I enjoed and loved CoD 1&2. All were asking is they change it up a bit.

the original cod finest hour had the greatest online play of any game i have ever played..it would be nice to get back to that...rooms didn't crash when the host left...you could mute people....kick laggers and glitchers...host your own rooms with so your friends could join you. the guns were responsive and balanced....no sniping with a mini-uzi or mp5 and one shot kills with sniper rifles and most importantly no grenade fests. hopefully they go back to that...set it in the pacific fine....there already is way too many modern/futuristic warfare games as it is...call of duty, medal of honor, and bia are the only ww2 games worthy of even mentioning...lets get back to when men were men and fought it out head to head and not tossing 3 grenades and then shooting 4 203s with their overkill kits...and get rid of the stupid juggernaut crap and marterdom.....a real war game...not this pussy sh!t cod4.

oh and the game says 2 years developement time....so should mean sometime around winter 2009 to spring 2010....so keep waiting for your precious frag loving cod 6 modern queerfare for another 3 years.

Looks like one beautiful game.   Treyarch and Infinity Ward are both good developers.  This is the Call of Duty 4 engine in a different setting and with VEHICLES. 

That depends if they are planning on continuing COD4 style of noob gameplay on multiplayer. But then again they should recontruct it so that the balance is continuous throughout each playing field.

Yes my friend, unfortunately it does. And every Greek has to join for a year.

Again 360 lead platform. God this is annoying! That inherently limits the games full potential and will likely crap out a port to the PS3. Even though Code4 ran well on the system.

Guess I'm waiting for COD5... that is if they don't make that WWII as well.

I will wait till COD6 comes out. Why would i want to play a game based on so far back. Gimme something modern, something 21st century.

Originally, I was defending the decision of Treyarch making another WW2 game. But now with the announcement of the lead platform being the 360, to the can with it. Equal developing or don't FU(KING bother, motherphuckers!!!!!! Why are PS3 owners constantly & consistantly getting the short end of the stick?

Well even though I'm not ecstatic about this taking place during WW2, I think it does have potential. Especially because it uses the COD4 engine. I own COD4 for my 360 but I'm assuming it runs equally well on the PS3? If so, why are all of you worried it will be a crappy port? Yeah, i understand half the PS3's game library is crappy ports, but I don't think this one will be. The flamethrower looks cool! Who knows, but it will have some stiff competition from other FPS.

Lets stay away from foreign policy and stick to games.  War is war, whether for just reasons or not.  Just because you think the current war isn't just, doesn't mean it isn't.  I may not agree with everything about the war,  but terrorism needs to be dealt with eventually.  I think that is a pretty just reason.  Furthermore, there are still brave men fighting, whether or not you think the war is just,  don't take that away from them.  "Freedom is Slavery," we must constantly fight for it. 

I think this game has potential.  I disagree with Treyarch developing it, but there is very little that can be done about that.  I'm going to wait till the game comes out to judge it.  When you think of WWII,  most people will jump to the European front, so they are kinda working away from that with a pacific front.  They need a North African Campaign.  There is so much in WWII to cover.  Sadly, I will miss some of the modern weapons (Barret .50 cal). Leading on the 360 is not a good move though.  Oh well, if this game is good, people will still buy it, despite what they are saying now.

that's unfair to lead with the xbox again. after the ps3 has been proven to be the superior console. but then again, if they make better on the xbox i'll get it.

the games COULD be good, I like the jungle setting, distructuble environments are good, but it is in WW2. So unless they break some serious history laws they have to use THE SAME FREAKING GUNS! AGAIN! i am not up for that.

damn i mean wtf ww2 all over again they had sumthing good goin in moder warfare but they screwed it up i kno alot of people are going to buy this cuz its cod5 yes ill admit the game look good and they added sum nice features im geting the game but ww2 has goten old its goin to b the same wepons with like 4 extra thrown in. and worse treyaRCH IS THE DEVELOPER i mean their good and watever but they arnt gona push the game. and even worse 360 is the main system of development thats just has bad port writtn all over it the 360 version will be good but the ps3 will be garbage most likley and people wonder why multi platform games are some times better on xbox than ps3 developers are being lazy as refusing to develop specificaly for the ps3 xbox is a good system but ps3 has way more potential in games the ps3 would kill the xbox completely if deveopers would just take the time and develop for the ps3 like it should be. all in all this will be a good game just wont like up to the cod4 popularty unless this online is crazy dats the only reason why people will buy the game and dats if the servers arnt bull like cod4 servers were
