Fairgame$ Apparently Resurfaces In New Playtest Trailer For Project Espresso

Sony has released a trailer for a playtest related to Project Espresso, which mean not mean much on the surface, but it’s widely accepted that this is actually Haven Studios’ Fairgame$.

“Project Espresso is a third-person PVPVE competitive action game where competing teams race to infiltrate high-security locations, steal valuable cargo, and make it out before their rivals,” the blurb reads, which does sound a lot like what Fairgame$ is meant to be. It’s also worth remembering that the project has apparently been renamed Break In, although that hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

You can see the trailer here.

Sony has been keeping quiet on Fairgame$ for quite a while, with the last major update we heard being from a report in April from Insider Gaming, which claimed that the game is getting a dedicated Extraction Mode known as Cargo Heist. The site also stated that playtesters who have been hands-on with the game’s earlier builds found that it was simply “not fun,” which has apparently been a consistent issue across the game’s development.

The game’s developer, Haven Studios, was founded in 2021 by Assassin’s Creed veteran Jade Raymond, and was later acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Raymond departed the studio in May 2025.

Fairgame$ has yet to attract a release date.
