Ubisoft has pencilled in first person shooter Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood for release in PAL regions on July 3, 2009. A North American release is scheduled for June 30.
The prequel to the 2007 original western-themed shooter, Bound in Blood has the McCall brothers blasting their way through a variety of locations, from Civil War-era Georgia to the Aztec Ruins of Mexico. The game will also support co-op play, with both Ray and Thomas each possessing their own unique weapons and abilities in which to dish out the damage.
The story revolves around the duo’s attempts to track down the legendary treasure of Juarez, with the pair facing off against all manner of unscrupulous folk, including a Mexican bandit and Apache Chief. You’ll also get the chance to ride various contraptions including canoes and old school wagons.
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood will be released for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.

Honestly Drak, I'd like to have the experience as a whole. With the sequel games I listed, there's a backstory that I would like/need to know to fully enjoy it. I can't speak for anybody else, but I'd much rather play through the premise, rather than simply be "caught-up" through cutscenes and FMV. That practice is cheap & tells me that they're not interested in bringing PS3 owners their titles, but would rather try to exploit their ingnorance of the product to sell another game(to a now conveniently wider audience). Whatever happened to their development, there's little room for excuse because all of those games could have been on the PS3 initially, or at the very least, within a few months. To see what I mean, take a look at some of these comments and you'll notice that some people have little-to-no clue as to what this game is about or where it came from. It would make me feel rather shafted if I just found out there was a prior game in the series, but didn't get it. I'm very sorry for the long rant, Drak(and everyone else), but you addressed my biggest pet-peeve. Apologies all around.

@ 3 and 9... its cool ... are you complaining that there should be more originality? because if you arent I'd say to you sir... go buy the the other games so you can be a part of it because obviously your not if you've just found out that a new game has a linage. I do see what you mean.. I think, but they had to start somewhere and if that happened to be on the PS2 there is no problem with that.
btw I want to play this one and I may pick up the original

The first one was alot of fun, although I don't think it ever made it's way to the PS3. I think another red-dead revolver would be cool too.
