Capcom announced today that it has delayed the Japanese release of its PlayStation Portable title Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G (the expansion to Monster Hunter Freedom 2) by a fortnight, citing it wishes to improve the quality of the game.

Developed by Capcom’s Production Studio 1, the PSP-exclusive title was originally scheduled to ship in the region on March 13; however, as a result of the delay, the game will now be released on March 27.

The Monster Hunter franchise has enjoyed both critical and commercial success in its native region, with the previous instalment, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd (aka Monster Hunter Freedom 2 in the west), selling over 1.5 million units in Japan alone.

No you don't get a surprise, just a big dee-dee-dee for you. =P In any case a weeks time is no big deal, 1 month however is another story.
