U.S. publication GameInformer has caught word that Capcom and Namco are both working on brand new title in the ‘vs’ franchise.
Sources close to the magazine have revealed that the games – originally teased by Katsuhiro Harada and Yoshinori Ono at Evo 2010 and thought to be a single project – will in fact be none other than Capcom vs Namco and Namco vs Capcom.
Apparently, Capcom will be handling the former game’s development and will make use of the Street Fighter IV engine, while Namco will be taking charge of the latter, which will utilize the Tekken 6 engine. Capcom’s Ono-san had previously been busy Tweeting about his next project and mentioned he had prepared a trailer for Comic-Con on July 24.
