Disney’s lifted the hood on Cars 2: The Video Game, a multiformat offering based on Pixar’s upcoming high-speed sequel due to hit cinemas later this year.
According to the press blurb, Cars 2 takes on the form of a spy-themed adventure romp where players can control one of 25 different characters as they “train to become world class spies.”
Part and parcel of this involves taking on a heap of hazardous, simulated missions where you’ll have access to an array of swanky gadgets at your disposal.
In addition, the game will also be able to connect with World of Cars Online, which offers a free-to-play browser-based world centred on the Cars universe. Players can unlock fresh items here by accomplishing various challenges in the main game.
Cars 2: The Video Game is out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PC and Mac this summer.
