The January issue of US publication Game Informer has obtained exclusive information on an all-new Command and Conquer game for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Titled Command and Conquer: Tiberium, the game takes the form of a first person shooter set 11 years after the events of Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (the latest instalment for Xbox 360 and PC)
According to the magazine, players will assume control of fellow Global Defence Initiative (GDI) field commander Ricardo Vega, who has been pulled out of retirement to thwart the latest plans from the notorious Brotherhood of Nod.
Further details include squad-based gameplay (of which include infantry, missile infantry, Titan and Orcas), a setting described as the "Mediterranean Red Zone" and special abilities including the “Orbital Slug”.
This marks the second time that Command and Conquer has been adapted into a first person shooter, the first being 2002’s poorly received Command and Conquer: Renegade on PC.
Stay tuned for more details as they break. Please note that publisher EA has yet to confirm or deny development of the title.
